Papaver

I have accepted, finally, that I am also a painter. I work on a surface with acrylic or enamel paint, even if not always with a brush. I have brushes from many years ago that are still in good condition, and I use them. I also use sharpened chopsticks that have allowed a different kind of application. Next, I guess, is to break out some canvas. I usually draw (paint) on paper. (the above image is on plaster) The original photograph from which this drawing was made was taken by Bill Pusztai.

Getting back to work seems long overdue after so many weeks of applications and proposals. Going through such cycles seems the normalcy now. It was probably a good thing having tackled proposal and grant writing so many years ago. Still, even that is no guarantee of award success.
