It is now January, 2013 and I made it through another year intact with my and sanity, although my finances need serious improvement. I took a “vacation” to visit family for the holidays, my first away from Florida trip in several years. It was nice to get away, snow and cold included. Family are all good, even the ones I didn’t see. I needed a getaway trip in the worse way.
I met up with a couple new friends in Ohio and visited a local museum. The exhibition was fun and lighthearted, but enjoyable. The building was much better than I thought it would be, with several galleries of different types of work, including their permanent collection.
I had hoped to continue some art making, but that was impossible really. Relatives want your presence, not you working. That means I am itching for a return to my studio. I have prepared pieces ready for me to get working on: paper, plaster, and concrete. Yes, a variety of materials.
