Detail: encaustic on paper on wood
As I make notes along with my research and exploring, there are things that move my focus in a slightly different direction. That being "Of Africa," by Wole Soyinka. Originally part of a wall drawing, the above drawing was removed and redrawn on a wood panel. Her name is unknown to me, although I have come up with various narratives of her life. She should be the subject on a poem. I will see how that goes. Time does not always permit concentration on poetic writing, even though I have written a few poems this year. Better a few good ones than many crappy ones.
