Acufine and Ethol UFG are popular push processing chemistries.
Most people feel their times give weak negatives. Suggested is
adding 1/3 to 1/2 to their times to get more satisfactory negatives.
Another way to correct this is by using 1/2 the film speed recommended
by their data. |
Here is a list of films and some
usage comments on them:
Kodak Technical Pan: ultra fine grain/ultra-high resolution,
extended red sensitivity.
Kodak Infrared: pan infrared film, fine grain, medium
resolution.
Kodak T-Max: films uses T-grain emulsion, very fine grain,
high resolution.
Kodak Plus-X: fine grain, high resolution.
Kodak Tri-X: a classic! fine grain, high resolution.
Kodak Royal-X: Pan medium grain, medium resolution.
Kodalith Ortho: lithographic film, extremely high contrast.
Verichrome Pan: very fine grain, high resolution.
Ilford Pan F+: extremely high grain, very high resolution
Ilford FP4+: extremely fine grain, high resolution
Ilford HP5+: fine grain, high resolution
Ilford XP2: fine grain, high resolution - is developed
with standard COLOR chemistry, so it can be done at
any local photo processor or one-hour lab
Ilford Delta: newer film, fine grain, high resolution
Agfapan: Very fine grain, high resolution
Agfapan APX 100 Professional: Characteristics: very fine
grain, extremely sharp focus, linear contrast curve very constant sensitometric
characteristics. Applications: universal film with wide exposure tolerance
particularly suitable for flash.
Agfapan APX 400 Professional: Characteristics: good fineness
of grain, excellent sharp focus, linear contrast curve, pushing/increase
in sensitivity possible (expose as ISO 1600/33°), panchromatic. Applications:
sensitive film for photos in bad light conditions, particularly suitable
for images with short exposure time, for example sports photos.
Agfa SCALA 200x: a reversal film in black-and-white (for
slides). Extremely fine grain, excellent definition and push/pull potentials
ranging from ISO 100/21° to ISO 1600/33°.
