I have to eat my words. Big time. I used to read the blogs of Jeremy and JJ Allaire, creators of Coldfusion (a software program for those that don’t know), including leaving a comment or so. Jeremy Allaire was making a big deal out of camera phones at the time. As a person with a more professional photographic background, it was really a joke to think of the camera phone as little more than a trick. Of course, improvements have been made, including HDR and HD video in the iPhone. Aside from all the apps to filter the images with an abundance of colors, textures, and lens effects, the quality of the images is actually very good. Some of the images from my upcoming exhibition, Mangrove Mud Womp, are iPhone images, imported into, and then exported from Adobe Lightroom. You’ll have to see the images printed (on Canson paper) to understand what I’m saying.
